Shot a rod

Did it the other day with my ultra lite took gun home to inspect barrel every thing looked fine when back out bu it wouldn’t fire. Any ideas. And yes it hurt

Well screwing up like that should hurt ya know.
I’ve done it myself about 20yrs ago.
I had a major distraction happen just as I pushed my bullet down the barrel of my Omega. I made the mistake of leaving the ramrod in the barrel when I set the gun in the rest to deal with what was goin on.
I sat down & shot my Alum ramrod downrange. It cut my eyebrow & busted my nose.
A painfully bloody lesson learned that day. And I’ve never repeated it.

- never done that myself. But sounds like it’s a great idea to have a big palm saver or a flag on the end of your range rod!
