All around accuracy in a large number of rifles, lower pressure but still gives great velocity, doesn't have as hard of fouling (IMO) as the 2F and 3F. I have two dozen ML'ers and 1.5F can handle all my .45 & .54 bullet rifles and .54, .58, .66, .69, .72 rounds ball rifles with aplomb.

Did that 1.5 fg powder have softer recoil that the 2 f?

I didn’t notice any difference there? My typical Load is 80 Grains of Swiss 2F, This Shoot was 85 Grains of 1.5, This 15/16” Barrel kicks a little Harder/Different than my 1” Guns. It’s not Bad, Just Different? As much as i shoot, i pick up on that stuff pretty quickly
