Savage 10 ML- II Breech Plug

First time Muzzleloader and was just given a Savage Model 10 ML-II. I understand that it is a great gun and so far so good. The problem is the breech plug or should I say breech plug wrench.There have been a few modifications and as of now the gun has been discontinued. I have spoken to numerous gunsmiths as well as a few people who have mad aftermarket wrenches with no luck. Thomas Scoot who previously made the EZ tool doesn't have anymore and he suggested to reach out to people on the web. So if anyone can help me locate a Savage Model 10 ML -II BREECH PLUG WRENCH please let me know. John Hyland. 516 426 3021

I had the same problem with the breech plug for the ML 10 II. I made one out of a 7/16", 1/4" drive socket. I just used a hacksaw to cut into the socket to leave two "ears" that fit into the indents in the BP. I works fine for me.

Arrowhead plug. I can send you my wrench if you’re having problems getting it out. As long as I get it back. I switched to the arrowhead plug and it just comes out with a socket and long extension.
