Anyone shoot them ? I have a 1:24 twist barrel on my Under-Hammer. This is my 1st Rodeo n learning curve, hope to use T7-3f or Swiss 3 f. I am thinking lead will strip n clog barrel at the fps i want to use.

I had a Black Diamond Super 45XR years ago, and had great success with the 180 and 200 grain .40 XTPs.
I shot the 180s with 50, 60 and 70 grains of 3f Swiss. Irrc, 1600, 1700 and 1850 fps respectively. Got a doe with the 50 grain charge. BANGflop, and 8 pointer with the 70 grain charge and he went 50 yards.
I also got a doe with the 200 grain with 70 grains, 1800 fps. 12 yard shot that got the shoulder ball. Broke that to bitty shards, totalled a rib and went through her chest like a blender. She retracted her landing gear and went 3 feet. Straight down.
GOOD bullets the XTP. I've shot deer with 3 different calibers and 5 different weights ( .44, 240 gr, 40, 180, 200 grain and .45 250 and 300 grain non- magnum)with universally superb results. They're also quite accurate, available and not particularly expensive.
IF it's possible to go wrong with an XTP, for 99.9% of hunting applications ( where legal to use), it'll never be far.
I've said before, if there were no other bullets available, I'd rest easy. They've never failed me.
