The first couple times we shot out of the box guns and it seemed like more fun.

Was that the Knight DISC Original 45 in 1-20 aka Super DISC?
Ive got one btw and love it. I added one of the "special" triggers Gordy could get and a Lehigh bare primer plug. Other than that its all Knight. Actually come to think about it, now it has a Bestill tungsten bushing plug in it.
These finer details are what im wanting to learn.

Mine is origanal, but has the New Bestill plug, I can't get myself to drill the side out to install the QR PIN.

Thanks, Bob , always wondered what was used in beginning.miMusketman said:The first guns we had were .50 cal 26”
barrel rifles plunger style inline plastic
stocks. Shot surprisingly well. I had some
of my best success with a Swift bullet and sabot and 100 ff goex.
That slow twist 45 was probably the 1:30 DISC (1997), the Super DISC 45 1:20 (2001), DISC Extreme w/RPJ (2002) - back to 45 1:30.miMusketman said:I used those bullets the first year I fired a
.45 and I still hunt with that rifle to this day
on occasion. It was an early Disc Extreme but
a relatively slow twist 1-27” comes to mind.
Shot some great scores with that rifle but it liked lighter bullets and 120-140 gr of loose
777. We shot a lot to get ready for the
Manufacturers Match and most of us preferred
a lighter load. I believe I fired this particular
rifle on and off for about 3 yrs before I fully
settled on a 1-18” Match Disc Extreme
That sounds correct (my bad above) as the DISC 45’s made in Blue & SS started at serial 0-and went to somewhere about 23xx & 52xx before changing to 1:30. ThanksGM54-120 said:First DISC 45s should have been 1-20s

So, the DISC was only offered in 50 until the Super Disk (45 1:20)?
If so, then the 1st year Knight won the mfg Match (2000) this 45 1:20 was used.
FYI - matches started in 1998

QT .40 Polymer Tip sabots take first place at the 2001 & 2002 World "Manufacturers Challenge" Blackpowder Championships team event.
