Just got a jukar Spain muzzleloader 45. Cal haven't had a chance to shoot it yet wanted to see if anyone knows about how many grains of powder I should shoot through it and what would he the best size round ball for it

Re: New muzzleloader

The Jukar is made in Spain. It is not a bad muzzleloader. But it is not a magnum either. I think the max load was 100 grains of 2f powder. Since it is a .45 caliber, I would use 3f powder. And a .440 ball and patch. Start your testing at 60 grains and I think the rifle might surprise you how well they shoot. More and more of the Jukar weapons are starting to show up. I had a .45 caliber Jukar horse pistol. I shot 20 grains of 3f and a patched .440 ball. It was amazing how accurate it was, for a pistol.
