I've never seen a stainless gun rust. I've seen hundreds of thousands of them.

The inside of the barrel is the part I'm concerned about.

Oh, and the inside will rust just like the outside. Shoot some Pyrodex, leave her sit for a few days, then report your results. Ever heard of white rust?

my X-150 i had i used to leave dirty for a week or 2 with pyrodex rs fouling. No rust or any issues. The only time the barrel rusted is when i bought my first tube of bore butter and it had only been in the bore for 3 days :evil:
