Alaska Black Bear

I am planning a trip to SE Alaska for a Black Bear hunt.

Has anyone been? Looking for some ideas, suggestions and references.

I bookmarked a site outdoorsdirectory.com , it's all Alaska outdoors & hunting forums. I saved it for future use but haven't had the occasion, maybe you could look there.

I do have an angle on good black bear hunts in MI, MUCH less $$, but as a non-res it can take 7 years or more to draw. The application period is May, if anyone wants to start with points.

Thank you for the information and link. I'll check it out. I know AK is more expensive, but it is one place I want to see.
