Hey fella's, So I am in the process of buying a TC Cherokee in .45cal.
Some questions I have are, What are the min & max loads. And what are my limits when it comes to deer hunting?
I am hoping my Daughter will be able to use this in another year or two to take her 1st deer.
Thanks in advance,

According to my T/C manual (which you can download from their site I believe) 50-90 grains of FFg powder for the roundball. 70 grains they show as their best load.

For the maxiball they show 60-80 grains of powder for their load range. Again, 70 being the best load for the rifle.

There is a lot of bunk that everyone needs to shoot 150 grains of powder and that is just not true. I have a friend that has hunted with a .45 caliber Kentucky rifle for years, shooting roundball, and he gets a deer every year. Knowing him the way I do, I would be he is shooting 70 grains of powder.
