First question: What happened here? I've never seen this before. Is it bad news, can I fix it, does it need fixin'? It doesn't happen all the time.

Kinda looks like a bit of blowby.
If so, there are maybe a couple of fixes depending on what breech plug that is.

I bought the rifle at Xmas for a gift to myself. I guess it would be a Traditions standard issue.
