i need a little insight by all you pros out there. i just went out to try my new thor bore size 250 grain. i just wanted to see what size would work best. i had just 80gbv bh209. i shot the .501 size witch loads fairly hard and had a perfect bullit hole so i decided to try the .500 because it loads a lot easier, the hole looked like i put the bullet through sideways. i was only shooting 10 yards just to see what shoots. do you think the .500 are to loose, it fired fine with the bh209 or do i need more powder or stay with the tighter .501 thanks

Stay with the .501. If its keyholing at 10 yards then forget about it.

Thanks for the reply you are always ready to help. I realize my problems with bh209 is with my load. If I’m going to make that work I need to find what works in my knight mountaineer seems to be a tight barrell

I load conicals pretty tight in both my Knight .45 Disc guns. But kind of loose in TC Omegas. So there's preferences it seems.
