TC Encore Pistol Barrel & the laws in NY?

Do you need a pistol license in NY to have a short barrel TC Encore (15 inch) with a pistol grip......Just wondering.

Yes!!! It is classed as a pistol and they must record the Frame serial number and first barrel caliber on your pistol license. If you buy an Contender/Encore rifle and swap out for the pistol grip and 15 inch barrel, that is also a big no no! :shock:
