I have had a White G series Whitetail rifle in .45 cal percussion. I hand cast 495 grain bullets and I don't have to size them. 70 grains of 3F black powder. After all these years it still amazes me. I made a 188 yard shot on a heavy beamed Maine buck yesterday.Way back when Doc White and his team got it right. You don't need fancy expensive sabots or 3, 50 grain pellets. I'm going to move my Gonics, Knights and others. At 70 years old I realize that I already have the best muzzle loader ever made. My White has never failed to fire. It's a nice rifle! Yesterday It made me smile again!
