S. NORTH U.S. MODEL 1816 FLINTLOCK PISTOL
S. North U.S. Model 1816 Flintlock Pistol. .54 caliber, 9 1/16" barrel, 15 1/4" overall length. This pistol is in good condition with clean metal components and a mechanically sound action. There are two cracks visible on the left side of the stock and very few light handling marks throughout. A classic example of an American Officers Secondary Martial flintlock Pistol, ca. 1780-1810.
Purchased on September 24, 1927 at the Estate Sale of General Anthony Wayne at his family's Waynesborough estate, in Paoli, Pennsylvania.
