Hello, I am new to muzzleloading and have recieved a Knight disc supreme 50 caliber rifle. My expertise is varmint rifles and long range precision weapons and precise handloading.
I look at the single screw used to hold the action in the thumbhole stock and wonder how many people really interested in accuracy have added another screw and pillar bedding to the rear of that action, then glass bedded the action and free floated the barrel?
In that line, just today I have been told about a conversion to a m/l using the barrels supplied by the same company that makes Knight barrels. This conversion uses modern smokeless powder in lesser quantities but produced higher velocity. Perhaps it may be dangerous to be asking this question on this site. Has anyone ever experimented with modern smokeless powder in a Knight rifle?
