Primers To Caps

I finally found percussion caps yesterday and am converting my Hawken and both MK85’s from 209 primers back to caps.
Will this have any effect of how the guns are going to shoot? If so, I guess I’ll have to leave them set up with 209’s until after season.

I’m leaving Tuesday morning to go hunting at my place in OK and am planning to take the Hawken and probably a MK85, and I don’t have a lot of time to work up another load.

Hard to say but I wouldn't change anything until you can verify for sure.

I wouldn't risk doing the conversion until after the hunt, either. Too much can happen during a hunt that could exaggerate the effects of those changes.
