A friend just got this as a gift and needs info.is it best suited for patch and ball or minnies. ffg or fffg and how big a charge.it has 3 folding leaf rear sights what would the typical yardages be for each .any help would be welcomed thanks.

Hey TCNS, my .58 Zoli Zouave shoots fine with patched balls. I tried Minnies but the ones I had were too
loose in my bore and didn't shoot well. I never got around to finding some that fit well because I like the balls
so much. As for the sights, I think he will find that even the lowest leaf of the three will have him hitting six inches
or more high at 50 yards. I don't know what the range calibration is for the sights. I replaced mine with a home made
forward mounted large peep which works well for me.

My 58 shoots high also, for now. I use 16 patch, and ball,65grs b/p. 8)

I've got an old Hy Hunter Zouave, and I use home cast 500 grain Minies over 50 grains of 3f Goex.
