I was scouring the pawn shops and gun shops this morning and came across a very early MK-85 in really nice condition. I thought it might be unfired, its so clean. I thought that i should save it for someone who will appreciate it. I got it home and took it mostly apart to clean and inspect and i think that its only been fired once or twice, cleaned well and put in the gun safe. It is a very early model that doesnt even have a GM logo on it. Serial 18231. It just says ‘50 CAL’ and ‘BLACK POWDER ONLY’. There is a very light surface rust at the nipple but almost no pitting in the breech and the hammer looks brand new. I need to get my $250 and shipping for it anywhere in the lower 48. Wish i could send it to Canada or elsewhere but… you know how that would go. I haven't pulled the breech plug yet. But i will when someone wants a look at the bore. From what i can see it'll be nice.
