my dxt has an allen screw on left side to hold bolt in. i hear there is a new,no allen wrench required bolt release available? can mine be changed? thanks

Yes it can. It's not all that much either. Give 'em a call.
 
Bolt Release

Contacted Jeff at Knight. Cost is $25 including part, labor, & return shipping of barrel only. Requires drilling & tapping on barrel, therefore they prefer to do job. Part alone is $3.89 + shipping; evidently just a large thumb screw and not a cammed mechanism like on most centerfires.

UPDATE: Its a spring loaded pin.
