In n.i.b. condition, at Cabelas for a silly good price. Couldn't pass.
Her bolt throw is new stiff and I had to get hardened cosmoline out of the bore and action.
She has both the Alexandria VA and Manchester England addresses and the date code, found between the holes for mounting an aperture sight ( 0282) indicates February of 1982.
Fit and finish of wood and metal is really excellent.
The 24 inch barrel is nicely contoured and has a ramp/ bead front sight, and a Williams WGOS rear.
The trigger is a single stage commercial model with a side safety. As is, it's a long pull but it breaks clean at about 4 pounds. Adjustment to follow! Will shoot her as is to get a base line. Federal blue box 150s for her first outing. Did a quick feed/ extract/ eject check and all was well.
The walnut stock is nicely proportioned and inletted.
Should be fun!
