I was given this muzzleloader a few years ago and haven’t shot it yet. I’m not sure which model it is. “Gonic Arms GA 90 CAL 50 MAG” is stamped into the barrel. It has a 24” barrel. All I know is it is a Gonic and shoots 50 cal bullets, other than that I have no idea. Any body have more info on this rifle as far as amount of powder, and what it needs to shoot, etc. I am an experienced hunter but have never shot a muzzleloader so not sure where to start.

Thanks

That's a Thompson Center Contender frame with a GA-90 barrel mounted
You can use a lot of other barrels on that frame, center-fire and rimfire
Great gun, can be a pistol or a rifle
Mount a weaver 92A base and use weaver-type rings for scope mounting
Start with 70 grains of powder and work up to your comfort level

The undersized bores were the .50's
My 45 cal handles 45-70 bullets
