Ok, I've searched far and wide and haven't found the answer to this question. Will the new BH209 powder work with a CVA Buckhorn inline? I read different things about this powder not working with certain kinds of breach plugs.

the buckhorn is not recommened because it uses a plunger style action. Im sure it would do fine but i'd be affraid that the plunger may blow back enough from the pressure to let the 209 primer come flying out at your head.

I tried Blackhorn 209 out of a CVA Staghorn Magnum which is the same thing as your Buckhorn. It will fire it off, but the primer will be blown to pieces and they come back at the face of the shooter. Its a common problem with the open breech systems.

you'll be fine with pyrodex/triple 7.

Just dont use smokeless or else you'll have a lot more than a primer hitting you in the face
