I'm not in a good mood right now.

GM barrels are not the copy of TC taht I thought. Cannot transfer parts like I wanted but I can solve the sights and swivels issue.

Problem is now its hooked onto my tang and bedded in place, the damn hammer is not far enough forward for me to even shoot it. Hammer has to come at least 1/8 or more inches forward to clear the nipple.

My blood pressure is rising fast...

Help.

Jeff

If you plan on keeping the barrel, just buy a new hammer and bend it to fit...........easy as that. :D

How do I bend this one? TC Renegade, Tell me how as I want to shoot the friggin thing tonite or on Sunday for sure!

Thanks, afraid of breaking this one.

Jeff

You will have to heat the hammer to a dark red glow...not bright red......bend allow to cool and check for fit. Do not water quench the hot hammer. Let it air cool.

Some you can bend cold, but................some don't!

Heat it till it turns red, then bend to fit. Now it won't fit the original barrel, that is why you need two.

Do not quench in water to cool, let it cool slowly......so it doesn't crack.

edit:
Heat just the middle of the bend, not the whole hammer.

Do I need to go straw or actually dull red on heat?

And no quenching or should I oil quench maybe slowly?

What about the finish then? Not that I care.

Remembered I have anohter Hawken and will swap first and then bend if need be.

Won't be using the old barrel most likely unless TC sends a new one.

Thanks!! Jeff
