FG,

I think all that is on tap for next year - using 777 instead of Pyrodex and maybe another kind of primer.

It's been a bummer seeing that most all of the 300 gr bullets don't group. The 250's work okay - maybe I need to try the 200 gr Shockwaves?

I'm liking the Hornady XTP's and may experiement with the short sabot and/or the crush rib sabot... The deer are small down here and 240 gr should be more than enough.

My expectations may be high - a 2-inch group isn't all that bad at 100 yards. It is the moving of the group from time to time that gets me. It may be how I'm holding the gun? The last group moved from 3 o'clock to 4:30-5 o'clock and that's just plain wierd.

Try this one.

240gr XTP in a black short mmp-12 sabot.

If this dont work, simply call CVA tell them the problem and they will more than likely have you send yours in for replacement.
