Caught A Couple Hogs Yestersay

These hogs were in two traps yesterday morning.

This 200 pound sow was attempting to break out of the ratty old trap. She was immediately shot.

The photo was taken after the sow was field dressed.   She was very fat.   After skinning a friend took the sow to the butcher shop.

Good going! I have helped dress and butcher 3 hogs killed in Tennesee by friends, I used to be a butcher for 5 years, and I boned them  out, all the cuts but no bone in. I was supprised by how fat they were, and one boar was  a little gamey, they ate the backstraps and tenderloin out of him, we ground all the rest up into sausage with homemade seasoning, you could not tell it from any other sausage.
