I'm not convinced that the tightness of the sabot plays a part in how well BH209 ignites. I was playing around with some different sabots when shooting some Barnes T-EZ's a couple weeks ago. I used some Harvester Black Crushed Rib sabots and with the T-EZ's they almost fell down the barrel on their own. I only used my finger to ram the bullet/sabot down to the powder. I was fully expecting it to hang/misfire from what I had previously heard about needing a tight fitting sabot. It did not, and fired off perfectly with the same accuracy as the supplied sabots for the T-EZ's. I tried the loose combo several more times with the same result. I was amazed that it fired off considering how extremely loose it fit in the bore.
