Took my fancy stock Renegade to the range with some 200 grain .45 XTPs, Harvester crush ribs and 70 grains of 3f Swiss.
Due to their shorter bearing surface, the 200s are MUCH easier to ram.
Recoil was predictably light. Only 23 grains heavier than a .490 ball, so it's no surprise.
I had the dum for the first shot. LORD knows where it went!
The next nine though...
The new Lyman frizzen really torched the prime.
All booooom...
I know... Sabots in a flintlock?!
It WORKS.
I saw a great one liner someplace.
"21st century period correct."
LOVE it!
