I did some trading with one of the members here. Note also the Trade Knife one of my friends gave me.

That is a sharp looking rifle. Is that a Traditions Hawkins? It looks a lot like my Woodsman which is a great rifle. What caliber is that one? Again, any time you can trade to a Hawkins your doing good...
 
The T/C Hawkens was my first ML. Way back in roughly the early 80s. I paid about $160 back then.

Its been a long time but i thought mine was a 45cal. The quality was outstanding. It preferred round balls and Maxis. I think the twist in mine was 1-44".

That style is still high on my list of traditional favorites. Cabelas has a nice looking sporter Hawkens type carbine in 50 and 54 too.

It is a T/C .50 Hawken. I think they carry better than just about any of them. I mostly hunt with Marlin lever guns and they feel about the same while walking through the woods.
