Interesting....I bought the laminated wood stock because I liked the look, and prefer wood. It IS heavier, but should remain stable, and may be easier to glass bed.

Now that you've pointed out a potential weakness in the Omega synthetic stock design, I can see the lack of a one piece stock on the Triumph may not be a drawback.

When bedding a BA CF rifle, I preferred to bed the entire action, and first couple of inches of barrel. The remainder of the barrel would be floated. In the case of very light barrels, pressure bedding towards the end of the forearm, or full length bedding might be in order.

After the hunting season is over I'll pull my Omega apart and have a look at the bedding. I wasn't thrilled with the wood to metal fit, and it should be pretty easy to get a tight fit with CNC machinery.
