I just bought a LRH yesterday and I have to say this seems like a fine rifle. I have to hand it to knight for a good job.
also when I unpacked the rifle the rear tang was not inserted in the clip properly. it was sitting on top of it. I figured it
was supposed to be like this, also the screw would not grab the threads very well. seems to have some not so good threads in the clip.
after messing around with it. I figured out how the clip works. directions are not very clear, same with the bolt. Manuel is missing some pictures on the bolt assembling and reassembling part.

I plan on calling knight today and see what they will do about the clip.

A "clip" was added to the LRH that goes over the tang on the receiver which allows a second mounting screw to be added making it similar to a bolt action centerfire rifle. It looks like the tang was made longer to accomodate the "clip". I was looking to try to retrofit my DISC using the "clip". It looks like a no go.

I didn't care for the stock or the extra step it took to take the action out of it to clean it so I slapped my LRH into a extreme synthetic and it retro fits that way although the extra on the tang is noticeable if you really look (but everything on the LRH's tang is free floating aft of the trigger). I think the tang on the disc is a free floating situation also so it's just a mater if you want to add a small block to fill in the spot.

I went out and shot the rifle it still shoots clover leaf's . was told by knight that you can still shoot it, but it will not be as accurate. hell I never shot it with the clip installed, so I do not know how much more accurate it could be right now.

the barrel is not free floated it has a pressure point on the tip of the fore arm. to free float it would require getting rid of the pressure points and glass bedding the lug area.

I guess I need a picture, because I have no idea what you guys are talking about, and I have 2 LRH's. I'm no gunsmith though, I just shoot 'em.

while holding yur rifle look down at the secondary saftey just below that you will see a hook type thingy holding down the tang of the receiver. and the screw for it is the one on the rear of the trigger guard. when it is out of the rifle it will look like a horse shoe.

today my new retaining clip arrived. not a bad turn around seeing how I mailed it Friday and received it today. wondering now I might be able to make a one jagged hole group.
also my rings and bases showed up in the mail :D so looks like I will be mounting my nikon bdc today.

sagebrush- post a picture.

I was going to get that scope but got the hi-lux. How close is a match for the scope, rings/bases and the barrel?
