I did some horse trading with the parts from my pawn shop Renegade and ended up with a nice looking .54 Hawken. My lock is at T/C right now.
 
That is a great rifle. You are really going to like that. They are nice to shoot.
 
My first side lock was a Tc Hawken 54 cal. It shoot real well with Hornady great plains 390 grain bullets, felt wad over powder and 120 grains of Triple seven 2F plus CCI #11 mag caps. Recently added a Green Mountain round ball barrel for it. You will like your rifle. Some used rifles often are leaded up and the previous owner couldn't figure out why they wouldn't shoot. So they traded or sold them, if you run into this, clean the lead out of the barrel.
