Just ordered some new toys

Cva Accura Black stick with Blued barrel
weaver bases
Leupold PRW rings
Nikon Omega with BDC reticule

What you think?

Sounds good! Now what are you going to shoot out of it? Powder bullet primer? we'll need a range report after you shoot it.

I like the your set up!

Got a picture?

I bought mine in black thumbhole / SS barrel and used TC Gorilla mounts/rings and a 3-9x32mm Bushnell Sportsman.

May also want to look around for these primers. They perform awesome in the Accura and for me, they cut down the fouling in the barrel so good that i can get off 6+ sabots before calling it a day.

Only change is would have recommend is Warne QD rings but those PRWs should work well. QDs are just great for cleaning though.

FG, I love the gun but i think i would have gone with a black scope. I would also use BM3, BMXP or BH209 instead of the Pyro RS. Any of the others and you could shoot all day :D :D

Hit the range this morning before work.

250 grain shock waves
150 grains 777 pellets
Primers: Winchester 777

Got roughly a 3 inch group at 100 yards.

Gonna pick up some 250g SST Hornaday and try 100 grains of 777 pellets.

Thinking about trying loose powder but really like the easy use factor of pellets especially for hunting.

As far and the gun itself. The trigger is amazingly good, could you a post travel stop might have to add a set screw. The gun balances and feels great.

Sounds great. Now just go a little further & get some Blackhorn 209 & you will be all set. Be sure & track down some good primers for the B209. Loose powder is no big deal to use, just a few pre-measured speedloaders & your off.

Not too many folks get good accuracy with the 150 grain loads. I would stay under 120 and normaly the sweet spot will be 80-100.

Yah late muzzle loader starts here monday not going to have to time to play around with loose powder before the season starts. I plan to spend some time this spring/summer and work up some good loads when its not 10 degrees out.

I like the Lupy PWR's better than the Warne QD's...can't stand the lever hanging off the side. BTW, I remove the PWRs for complete cleanings just like any QR rings...no hassles, just need a torx tool. They'll return to zero just like any others.

Well, okay then. You can get the QDs that have a knob instead of a lever though. :) TC branded are that way last I knew.

I am partial to a more traditional set up:

I am shooting a .50 cal. PRB with 80 grs of Goex 2F BP. ;)
