Once there was a hunter that was sitting up in a tree, deer hunting. He'd been there a long time and was cold and bored, having not seen anything in the cold misty morning. So he got out his smart phone and started working the internet for something to do. As he was occupied with his texting and writing to a forum, a world record class buck appeared out of no where, crossed his shooting lane and disappeared into the thicket. Never to be seen again.

The moral of the story... hunt when you hunt. And text when you want to text... Good luck. I sure know the feeling.

Great story! Thankfully, very few record bucks come from VA. ;)

Nothing stirred this morning. We shall see what the afternoon holds in store.

I guess it's easy to mess around when you have already filled.your freezer for the year.

well, at least I got my address book cleaned out. the day's not a total loss.

I leave my phone off during prime time. Later I turn it on 'silent' of course to see what's happening. I never did get into those noisy radios. Cell phones work so much better, if you have a signal.
