keep them clean and both will last a life time. You have to worry more about wearing the crown out from constant ramrod rubbing. You can eliminate that by using a Muzzle guide.

i try to only clean from the breech end, just like with a centerfire...tough to do with the longer barrels though sometimes

sale ended just befor i could complete my order. luckly cabelas had the same just with blued barrel. bad part is I had to pay tax but I got my 1st inline on the way.
