Well, my first Minnesota muzzleloader season ended on a good note. I managed to tag this buck on the second to last day of season. My father in law had been chasing him for 2 weeks and I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. I can't wait till next year....

Nice buck! Way to GO!

Looks like you used a CVA Optima!?
 
He was shot with my Optima Pro in .50 cal. I'm shooting 85gr of loose 777 pushing a 300 gr Hornady XTP Mag. I took a bear in September with the same load and a doe the day after I shot this buck. I've been really pleased with this load. That 300gr bullet does some tremendous damage.

XTP,hard to beat that performance!
