Hello. I’m Jon from Westminster West, VT. I’ve been into muzzleloaders for quite some time. I got my first muzzleloader- a stainless T/C Black Diamond.45 caliber. I was kind of a late bloomer just getting into deer hunting, and didn’t have a deer rifle. I decided if I was going to get one, it should be one I could use the entire rifle and black powder seasons. After that I got my firs sidelock- a T/C .50 caliber White Mtn. Carbine, then I got a .50 Caliber T/C New Englander, then a .45 b.p.Ruger Old Army revolver, and last but not least my best friend just gave me a T/C .50 caliber Scout pistol. I have really gotten into shooting, hunting, casting bullets and balls, reloading etc. over the last 15 years or so. I do have several modern firearms as well, but really enjoy the muzzleloaders. I am a weldor/fabricator/blacksmith/sculptor and also have a 1960’s hand and foot powered leather “boot patcher” machine that I like to use for occasional leather projects. We have a Red Heeler “Ollie”(Australian Cattle Dog) several chickens, a duck, and rabbits for meat and pets. Three kids, a step daughter and two grandchildren. Never a dull moment.
