16 twist 45 caliber remigton 700

Got out and shot some 270 northern precision pinpoints. shot very good with this bullet.
So to recap tge 16 has shot 225 sabots thru 325 bore rider bullets at moa or better very versatile twist rate indeed.

Where can you get these targets and at what range is it shot at.

Either print those that GaSmokey made up, or use the 6" shoot-n-C targets from Birchwood Casey.

I ........... HIGHLY ........... recommend using a piece of cardboard as a backer. A torn target might look like it scores higher than it actually does. Better to use a backer.

I probably will hunt with it a time or two.
I've got a collapsible job that fits in the posibles bag.
I'll load at the house and carry an extra shot. I hunt my own land so its not a big deal to load in the driveway tgen walk to my spot. I don't anticipate needing more than one shot but you never know might more than one huge buck! Or I could miss in the excitement. Better to be prepared.
One of my CVA Scout conversions though is the more likely suspect.
It has the posibles bag on the stock.
With a takedown ramrod that screws together.

Here is today's group with tge 270 grain pin point.
Seems I've hit a combination this rifle really likes. Bullet to bore.
It seams in spite of tge twist rate this barrel likes lighter for caliber bullets..granted I've focused more on tge lighter midrange hunting bullets.
It did shoot 3 pitmans into a tiny group.
Need to play more with them but they haven't been as consistent with my preferred velocity /SD node.

I apologize for been a little preoccupied with another project I have yet to get where I want.
I'll revisit this gun real soon with some heavier smooth size bullets.
