between those two, spend a little more now and get the TC. I have a traditions pursuit LT. It shoots just fine, but it comes with plastic sights and the options for mounting a scope are more limited, not to mention I havent been a huge fan of the mounting positions and I have had to use extended rings to get my scope where I want it. That leaves you with 1 option if you go with steel, quick release mounts (Leupold QR).
fit and finish on the traditions is not anything special. I wish I would have spent more up front to get a higher end rifle in the first place. I have now spent that difference in multiple sets of rings/bases, I broke the iron sights (plastic junk), so if I want to use hard sights, I need to get another set.
On top of that all, I cant fit my scope and iron sights on unless I find some iron sights that are really low profile. In my opinion, the rear sight is positioned too far rearward.
Or, you can by my less than 1 year old traditions pursuit LT, nickle barrel, thumbhole camo stock, with 3 sets of rings/bases, and I will pick up that TC at cabelas.
