Have a nice condition Investarms Hawken at work.
.50 Cal., 28" barrel, Bore looks great, Lock seems to work good, Wood is good.
Set trigger is a bit tight, have to pull kinda hard as it hits the back of the trigger guard before it sets.
Probably 1:48 twist I am thinking.
How are these rifles for reliability & accuracy?
Should I bring this thing home?

Same here with my Investarms barrel in .54, also with a 1:48 twist. I've owned several Lyman trade rifles as well as GPR's and they've all been trouble free and accurate. I had one Investarms fast twist barrel that had been mounted on a Cabellas stock and at 75 yards and 95 grains of 3f it would tear out the bullseye using 220 grain REAL bullets. Recoil was stout but it was plenty accurate.

I've had a couple of them over the years, and still have a .58. I have never had one issue with them....they just perform as they should.

I have two of them. A .54 that is a solid shooter and a .50 that needs a barrel rebore but everything else works fine.

Brought the Hawken home today.
Already cleaned it up and fixed the set trigger. Bore is pristine.
1:48 twist with .009 grooves.
Should get to the range in a few days after ot quits raining 🌧

The 2 I had were very accurate and fit fnish was very nice. Both had nice looking wood also.
