Swaged minie balls

All bought some of the above they are smooth sided so I am going to knurl them slightly to lube the knurling rather than the hollow base anybody see a problem with this . I got the idea from some old conicals I bought a long time ago .

How about showing a pic please ? Trying to think of smooth sided Minies ? All Ive seen have grease grooves or rings.
Id never fill the base with lube.

well they are rely different. I put bore butter in the ones with grease groves. have done it 30+ yrs, with not a problem.

Dixie Gun Works 50 for 47.50 bases are better than Track of the Wolf . The one on the right has been run over a file . That brought them from .577 to about .578 which is fine for my JP Murray repro .
