I dont have access to a chronograph and was wanting to know some BALLPARK figures for my hunting load.I shot 90gr(volume) BH209,.452 Hornady 300gr XTP,MMP short black sabot out of a Knight Disc Extreme.Use the FPJ with Win. 209 primers.Have this load sighted in at 1 1/2" high at 100yds.Anybody that could give me rough numbers(trajectory,fps,ft. lbs)at muzzle,50,100,125,150yds would be greatly appreciated.I dont need pinpoint accurate type numbers,just avg. type from any experience someone with this setup may have.This is just to satisfy my own curiousity,nothing else.Thanks in advance.

I dont know how soon you need it but Im going to be shooting that load combo with 100 grains of BH209 and im waiting on my scope to get here in order to start sighting it in. I planned to set up my chrono when I do so I could get some numbers myself but I bet its around 1800 fps judging from what I read on others.

That would be great!Im in no hurry,just kind of a down time curiousity thing.Appreciate the offer,thanks!

Had to guess on the muzzle velocity. Don't really know what it would be. Here are 4 calculations for 4 different speeds and all are about 1 1/2" high at 100yd.

I would expect that load to be between 1800 and 1875 depending on how tight the sabot bullet fit is.
One of mine thats similar.
1825 Average Fps
50yd---+1
100yd--"0"
125yd=-2"
150yd=-4.5 to 5 inches
Hope this helps.

In my Omega the 300 grn. .452 XTP in a Harvester CR sabot with 100 grns. by volume of BH209 averaged just under 1800 fps about 10' from the muzzle. I don't know what barrel length my Omega is vs. your Knight and how much that would matter. I think 90 grns would give closer to 1700 to 1750 fps--still plenty of power for any deer on the planet.

I used to shoot a 300 grn .430 XTP in a Green Harvester sabot with 777 at an average velocity of 1650 fps. 3" high at 100 was dead on at 140 and I killed a deer with that load to 171 yards once.

Velocity is not everything--accuracy and knowing the range are more important IMO. Have fun.
