I built this rifle as a challenge to myself......40 Cal Octagon to round....35in long barrel, 1-48 twist....Southern Iron mounted ......it weighs just under 6lbs......has a South Carolina swiveling patch box of wood.....what made the challenge was it being Figured Whie Oak.....Lock is a small Queen Anne by chambers.....Chambers White Lightning vent.....Something different

Thanks for the compliment....this is the lightest rifle Ive ever done......My favorites are English rifles and southern mountain styles.....I prefer old methods.....scraping instead of sandpaper, burnishing, and using my hand made ancient stains.....

Thanks

Good looking rifle there Hilljack! About how many have you made?

Thank you Hilljack! Keep up the excellent work.
I've only helped my father-in-law build 5 and built 1 for myself.
