I am not new to ml but i have to admit i am stumped. I am trying to work up a load for this and am stumped. I know all are different but was wondering what works for others with this rifle using bh209.

Sabots- 240-250-300gr XTP in Short black MMP 12 sabot. 90-110gr Pyrodex RS. and Winchester 777 or Winchester W209 primer.

Powerbelts - 348-405-245gr Aerotips with 80-100gr Pyrodex RS - Same drivers as above.

May also want either the 247gr thor or 250gr ballistic tip thor. with 90-110gr Pyrodex RS.

These are very easy to sight in and get grouping pretty easily. They however do not like a loose fitting sabot.

My Optima Elite likes 100gr BH209, 200gr SW's and Win 209's. Just under 3/4" at 100yds.

My regular Optima w/26" bbl likes 100gr BH209 and .429 300 gr XTP w/ Harvester Green 5044 sabot. Can be a finnicky lil' bastard at times but keep coming back to this load.

You might want to try 100 grains of BH 209 and 300 grain Hornady HP/XTP's.

My son's Optima likes 100gr BH and the 200gr. Shockwaves. Under an inch @ 100yds.
