Well, I had a chance to take my 7 year old boy hunting Thanksgiving night. We had deer in the field 150 yards infront of the blind when we got to our spot, so we had to sneak through the ditches and crawl into the blind. Quite a sneaky boy I might add - never made a sound.

I have had many 1 1/2 year old bucks close this already and have been wanting to kill a doe. Long story short, one small doe made it to 100 yards, and being my sons first trip afield we decided to take her. THe Encore dropped her like a stone.

100 gr 777 pellets and 250 gr shockwave... went through the chest and out the other side - exit hole about the size of a quarter.

That's a nice doe.. good eating size. Congratulations. It looks like a happy bunch there.

Nice shot, and a great memory for both of you. Congratulations!
