Just picked up another Pietta 1858 in a trade.
This is brand new in the box unfired. I think it is a 2014 Vintage.
Hope to get out to shoot it a couple weeks, along with my T/C Hawken build with Rice barrel.

Most all Italian firearms have a date code somewhere, you can google and print out the list, as well as makers marks. Good tool to have when at a gun show or manning a trade table as I do. Dates can be important depending what you may want to do with a particular percussion revolver, ie, early 70's, Uberti make a few changes on the 60 colt copy. I found out the hard way in 20000, when I bought a conversion cylinder (R&D) and found it would not fit on the arbor, it (the arbor) being much too large. no problem, just buy a newer one.........
