Hey guys I am new to ML and am considering puchasing a Nikon Omega 3-9X40 BDC, I am putting it on my new T/C Omega 50 cal. ML. Does anyone have any suggestions for a base and rings for this set up ? I am open to any recommendations. Thank you John

I have the Nikon Omega sope on my Omega, not the bdc model tho. Warne Maxima base and Warne p/a medium rings. I have read that a lot of guys are using the quick release rings with good luck.

I put a one piece on my prohunter and it is solid as a rock!! it's made by DNZ products. I think I got it from Midway USA. Warne Maxima rings and bases are a great choice also. Most of the places I hunt, shots are under 150 yds. so I went with a good rifle scope thats clear I had no need for the bullet drop stuff.

I really like quick detach rings. This is the system that I have on my Omega. If you go this route I think Warne is the way to go. They are not cheap, but are well worth what they cost.

One piece base http://http://swfa.com/Warne-Maxima-1-Piece-Base-P9890.aspx ~ $50

QD rings http://swfa.com/Warne-Maxima-Quick-Detach-1-Rings-P9924.aspx $35

I have heard good things about the Talley's as well. They aren't quick detach, but if you don't want to have that option they are worth a look.

$16 weaver rings from walmart
$139 weaver k4
t/c omega
1.5 inch groups with 300gr. xtp ,harvester crush rib sabot, 100gr. pryo, cci 209 primer. no load development.

Trigger8, I love those Walmart weaver quad rings. I have them on almost all my guns. Also Thompson makes a Omage/Encore Weaver base in silver or matte black for around $20. This is the set up I have on my Omega.

I had the T/C Maxima base recommended for my T/C Omega. I don't know if the Warne and T/C Maxima are one in the same though.
