I know this isn't from a ML- but thought It might help some think more and give others a nice laugh...

Sighting in your expensive new deer rifle

1. Shiny new, high-powered deer rifle.............$ 1,200.00

2. Quality, high-powered scope.....................$ 550.00

3. Bore sighting device ..............................$ 140.00

4. Hospital Visit......................................$ 40,893.00

5. Forgetting to remove the bore sighting device prior to actually shooting the damned thing?

Priceless !

ouch!!! can you imagine the kick from that. safety first always!!!!!!!

WOW!!! I really hate to see that but it is more common then we hear about. A lot of time the shooter is not seriously hurt and simply writes it off to stupidity.

Looks like he was at a range.
I get distracted at the range if I get into a groove and someone comes and talks to me,I will forget one thing and it will mess me up.

Damn shame

I agree this happens. Especially at regulation ranges when they call a cease fire. I impress upon my daughter (and myself) to always remember where you are in the loading process (repeat it to yourself) so when the line goes hot again you don't make a mistake.

Safety first!
