Getting away from the plastic crap. To much trouble hiding it at rendezvous, plus its no where near as strong.

My dad and I put this one together. Outside dimensions are 12x16. I'll stain and finish it later in the week and will add rope carrying handles.

Nothing like getting to the range with wrong size something or other or forgot powder or flints or whatever. Great looking box!
 
Looks good! Now you need to make a tray to fit inside it and put some triangle pieces in the corners to support the tray. Just a suggestion; the tray could have dividers in it so you have several compartments for small stuff. Need a photo of the finished box, with rope handles in place, etc.

Nice box, you are more talented than me. But I was able to find a nice walnut wine box and repurposed it to be a nice range box. Wood is good!
