Anyone have one of these rifles? I have an uncle that has one and I'd like to try to get him into some kind of 250-300gr jacketed .452 bullet. Looking for examples of loads that have proven accurate for others. Shots will be under 100 yards. Thanks.

Not in a Knight, but my buddy has an old Pedersoli inline 54 that shoots quarter size groups at 100 with a 250 XTP an MMP sabot and 80 grains of 3f Triple 7. Good luck and nice score on the .54!

I have a 54 cal MK 85 and never could get it to shoot .452 bullets well. However mine just loves the following

50 cal Speer uni-core JHP 325gr
120gr ffg Black powder
purple MMP sabot

Swab between shots and put 5 in 2 inches at 100 yards all day long. This load has stopped every deer in its tracks that I have shot with it. There is a rule of thumb that any bullet to bore dia should be .060 or less for best results. I personally have found this to really apply to the bigger bores to a even greater extent.

Try speer.50 325 hp in purple sabot with 105grns pyrodex sullect 1in at 100 yds or the barns/ knight 325 expanders same load my ss knight 54. My sons knight 54 blue loved same bullet but with 777 100grns. Any 50 jhp will shoot better in a 54.
