Right now we get 10 days to hunt deer and 10 days for Elk with muzzle loader and they want to combine the two into one hunt for only 8 days . Also the want stick the hunt between two rifle hunts . The area i hunt gets a ton of people deer hunting but the Elk hunt is too cold for most , so the pressure is less . If they move it to October then more will hunt Elk and you will have the deer hunters and elk hunters both in the same area at the same time .I don't like combined hunts . i like to focus on one or the other and most areas i hunt if there are a lot of Elk there are few deer the deer don't deem to like being around the elk . IMO I hunt deer in one area and elk in another and can't do that all in just 8 days . I sure hope they don't do this .
